Burnt Mills Boat Ramp Closed for Maintenance on June 2

According to Norfolk reservoir manager David Rosenthal, the Burnt Mills Project Manager, Curt Hauger, has informed [him] that the Burnt Mills boat ramp will be closed to the public on Wednesday June 2, 2010 for maintenance.  This date is subject to change depending on weather conditions.

    ARE they going to make the ramp deeper? It would not take much to make it a little deeper. Somone may get hurt trying to push the boat off in 2 foot of water. We have waited long enough for this 5 year project.

      They finished the work that they were going to do on June 2nd. Although I have not been out there myself, everything I’ve heard is that it is not only much better than before, but may be one of the best ramps among all the lakes now (excluding the paved double-ramp at Western Branch, of course).
